Argentina and Brazil lock horns in a clash of the heavyweights for the Copa America 2007.

Argentina, meanwhile, had the misfortune of drawing the in-form team of 2004, Columbia, but faced up to them emphatically with a 3-0 drubbing. Imagine that… fully experienced team was defeated by a young group of players…

ASIAN FOOTBALL CUP

The national team was whipped 1-5 by China in their opening match on Tuesday and trounced 0-5 by Uzbekistan on Saturday. Both matches were played at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The heavy defeats have put Malaysia out of the running for a quarter-final berth.

Disappointing huh??!!

A root cause solution is needed for the sorry state of our football.

One way to solve a problem is to eliminate the factors that make up the equation. In the case of our football, it is made up of players, coaches, management, and the head.

Looking further, we have to look at whether the problem existed before or only arose when the equation changed.

Let’s take the players. Before we at least won something, now it’s nothing. We change the players but the problem was not solved.

Then we change coaches, but still the problem was not solved.

Then we changed the manager … still nothing has been solved.

And the head says lets find the root cause, still they cannot find the solution since all the management are hired or appointed by the head. How can he be wrong? In fact he’s the one who commissioned management to find the root cause. Until the day the root cause is not taken out of the equation, football in Malaysia will continue its journey south.”

In anticipation of overwhelming demand for tickets and to ensure that everyone gets a fair opportunity to participate in Live Earth, and minimize ticket misuse, the event organizers will be allocating ticket sales by ballot.
